Job Description

Role Purpose:

To supervise the implementation and application of the accidents and incidents investigation programmes, in line with the regulations, policies and procedures of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA).

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

1.    Emergency Response: Assess the response process to emergencies, which take place within the emirate of Dubai and provide the section head with periodic reports on the response processes, as well as respond to emergencies when required. 

2.    Site Investigations & Data Collection: Work with Senior Investigators to assist in managing site investigations into major aviation occurrences as well as leading the site investigation into incidents and serious incidents when required.

3.     Conduct of Investigations:  Conduct investigations into serious incidents as well as assisting the senior investigators in the management of major investigations of any aviation-related accidents/ incidents.

4.  Reporting: Prepare investigation reports of serious incidents, as well as work with the Senior Investigators in the preparation of investigation reports of major non-ICAO Annex 13 accidents investigations and assist the senior investigators in the preparation of any periodic/non-periodic reports for the purpose of accident/incident investigation.

5.    Liaising with Authorities: Assist the senior investigators in the liaison with national and international aviation safety related entities such as GCAA, Dubai Police and Airlines and international manufacturers to coordinate the investigation process efficiently and effectively.

6.     Post-Accident Auditing: conduct post serious incident audits and assist the senior investigator in the conduction of scheduled post- major accident audits in accordance with section’s procedures.

7.     Inventory Management: Supervise and review the implementation of inventory up keeping activities, and report to the section head the outcomes of the inventory up keeping activities, as well as submit a bi-annual equipment procurement report and coordinate the procurement process with the relevant sections in the DCAA.

8.    Performs any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the section/department from time to time.
 

Certifications:

  1. Aircraft Accidents Investigation.

  2. Audit Programmes.
  3.  

Professional Experience:

  1. At least (6) years working experience in aviation safety operations

    At least (3) year in professional role.
